LACCA was set up on the 22nd August 1990, by a team of five volunteers,
Joan Reynolds, Mary Adams, Ralph Ogbourne, Michael Taylor, and Jim Hodge.

On the 3rd October 1990, a resident in Failand, offered a powered wheelchair, proved to be the beginning of equipment being donated and subsequently taken out on loan.

Over the years, fund raising events have taken place, such as a whist drive, quiz evening, skittles match, car treasure hunt, coffee morning, and various other events.

Many donations from the general public enables LACCA to purchase items as required, and also contribute towards parts, repairs, and upgrades.

Monies donated to LACCA in lieu of flowers at funerals, has become a significant and large amount of the donations received. Recipients of equipment, often offer a donation as a thank you for its use.

The ever increasing need for equipment to help those in need, can only be continued with your donations.
